How to store an opened pouch

Best before twelve months from packaging when stored in a cool and dry place.

Milk powder's enemy is moisture, not time. Keep the pouch tightly closed, or tip it into a dry airtight jar with a lid that actually seals. Away from the stove, the kettle and direct sun.

Always use a clean, dry spoon. One wet spoon is enough to cake a whole pouch. If the powder has gone hard, lumpy in a way that will not break, or smells off, throw it — do not try to rescue it.

The packed date and use-by on your own pouch are the ones that count.
